VOC Exhaust Data Checklist Before Requesting an RTO Quotation
A useful RTO quotation starts with reliable exhaust data. If the data is incomplete, suppliers may quote different scopes and the buyer cannot compare price or risk fairly.
1. Airflow and collection points
- Total airflow in Nm3/h or m3/h.
- Number of exhaust points connected to the system.
- Whether airflow is continuous, intermittent or variable.
- Duct layout, available space and stack requirement.
2. VOC concentration and solvent list
- Average and peak VOC concentration.
- Main solvent names and approximate ratio.
- LEL risk or flammable concentration data if available.
- Any silicon, sulfur, halogen, tar, oil mist or sticky component.
3. Exhaust condition
- Temperature at each exhaust point.
- Humidity and moisture fluctuation.
- Dust, oil mist or particulate condition.
- Whether pretreatment or filtration already exists.
4. Operation and compliance
- Operating hours per day and days per year.
- Local outlet emission limit.
- Fuel type, power standard and utility availability.
- Required documentation, installation support and commissioning expectation.
Why this matters
The same airflow can require different equipment size, safety configuration, control logic and installation boundary. A serious supplier should ask for data before giving a final technical price.
